Oatmeal Cookies with Chocolate and Peanut Butter Chips

These are my no fail cookies - always a hit at a BBQ and always chewy and yummy!  Try them with butterscotch chips, raisins, or my personal favorite:  White Chocolate Chips and Craisins

Cream together using an electric mixer:
3/4 Cup Shortening
1 Cup Brown Sugar
1/2 Granulated Sugar
1 Egg
1/4 Cup Water
1 tsp Vanilla

Mix in:
3 Cups Oats
1 Cup Flour
1 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Baking Soda
8 oz Chocolate/Peanut Butter Chips

Drop by rounded teaspoon full onto a baking sheet.  Bake at 350 degrees for about 12 minutes.  Cool on a wire rack.
